Methodology
How this guide forms its recommendations
Recommendations in the FemTech Outreach Guide come from three kinds of evidence: interviews with 63 industry leaders, client results reported by Wellness Marketing Reports, and published market statistics.
Every channel is judged on the same criteria, and every figure is labeled with where it came from. The guide is written by Wellness Marketing Reports, which sells several of the channels it ranks, so it is not independent.

Evidence
Where do the figures in this guide come from?
Category research. The 2025 white paper Turning Stigma into Strategy, based on in depth interviews by Wellness Marketing Reports with 63 entrepreneurs in sexual wellness and women's health. These are self reported interview findings.
Client results.Figures Wellness Marketing Reports reports from its own engagements, attributed using post purchase surveys plus Shopify data, with wholesale removed from email figures. They are the publisher's own numbers, not an audit.
Market statistics. Published third party reports, quoted as written and linked, such as the Anteriad 2026 B2B Healthcare Marketing Edge Report and Freshpaint's State of Healthcare Marketing in 2026.
Criteria
How channels are ranked and compared
- Step 1
Censorship exposure
How much the channel depends on ad platform review. Lower exposure ranks higher.
- Step 2
Adoption in the interviews
How many of the 63 interviewed companies used the channel, where that figure was reported.
- Step 3
Documented result
Whether Wellness Marketing Reports has a reported client result for the channel.
- Step 4
Same facts for every entry
Each channel is described with the same kinds of facts. Missing figures are marked, never estimated.
Limits
What this guide does not do
It does not rank or criticize named competitor agencies. It does not publish prices, because Wellness Marketing Reports does not state them. It does not promise search rankings, AI citations or specific revenue. Results from one client may not repeat for another.
See the method applied in the channel rankings or start from the B2B healthcare marketing agency guide.
- Why does research come before execution?
Research comes first so budget goes to channels already proven in your category. Wellness Marketing Reports interviewed 63 founders and leaders across sexual wellness and women's health to learn the most and least effective strategies, then implements those findings for clients. This avoids paying again for experiments other companies in the category have already run.
More on the FAQ page: Why does research come before execution?- How is marketing performance measured?
Wellness Marketing Reports ties every channel it manages back to revenue, so scope decisions rest on data rather than opinion. In its case studies, attribution combines post purchase surveys with Shopify data, and wholesale orders are removed from email numbers. This matters because Freshpaint reports only 1% of healthcare marketers can connect more than half of their spend to patient conversions.
More on the FAQ page: How is marketing performance measured?- Why can I not tell which marketing is working?
Most healthcare marketers struggle with attribution. Freshpaint reports that 91% say they make data-driven decisions and 49% say they can consistently improve ROI at the appointment level, yet only 1% can connect more than half of their spend to patient conversions. Combining post purchase surveys with store data, as Wellness Marketing Reports does, narrows that gap.

Turning Stigma into Strategy is the 2025 white paper from Wellness Marketing Reports, subtitled Marketing Lessons from 63 Entrepreneurs in Sexual Wellness and Women's Health. It draws on in depth interviews with 63 industry leaders about what grows a censored brand and what quietly drains its budget. Copies are requested on the main Wellness Marketing Reports website.
More on the FAQ page: What is the Turning Stigma into Strategy white paper?- What are the best healthcare marketing agencies?
The best healthcare marketing agency depends on your category and buyer. Hospitals and practices usually need patient acquisition specialists, while FemTech and sexual health brands selling to doctors and partners need B2B and censorship experience. This guide is published by Wellness Marketing Reports, so ask any agency, including this one, for case studies in your exact category.
More on the FAQ page: What are the best healthcare marketing agencies?- How is a specialist health agency different from a generalist agency?
A specialist agency knows which messages, images and channels each platform restricts for bodies, hormones and sex, and plans around them. A generalist agency may bring broader resources but less category experience. Wellness Marketing Reports builds language, imagery and posting cadence around what each platform actually allows, and bases channel choices on 63 category interviews.
